    Brass question

I have a large quantity of fired IVI 7.62X51 blank cartridges. Would it be feasible to cut the crimped 'bullet' tip off and trim to length to create regular brass for reloading?

IVI 7.62 live brass is very good and long lasting brass. The blank is a bit different though. It starts the same as ball brass but ends differently. I don't think it's got quite the same inside diameter at the neck as ball brass. I've shot thousands of it but we never even considered using it for anything...I wouldn't...
    Regards, Jim

Many times the brass used for blanks is brass that was rejected for normal ammo. It's in general a good idea not to used blank brass for reloading.
