Yes we all cane flea bay and it does have its pitfalls and wins there are often good gains for a collector and then again some sellers really do take a severe lend of ones intelligence in what they purport to be the real deal when the makers mark says different. Good on you for the score now all that needs to be done is to see if the T it was put with still exists.

Well I did think of going in with an offer.... But paid the asking price.
And my rubbish internet connection kept breaking down... It was a touch and go.
I was sure someone else would get it first. I was interested in the bracket and tin to finish off my No32 Mk 1,
the scope was an added extra!!

It just goes to show that they are out there. you just gotta' look for 'em. Incidentally, 18341 was marked on an old patched up and pegged No4T butt found on a DP rifle at 43 Command Workshop during an overhaul. It had an illegible rifle number on the step.

Just do a search for "No32". Some of the results are sure to please. Probably sure to wreck you as well, but that's another story!
No, hang on, you have to use "No. 32" and then scroll down past the Dutch replica MkI for £721, and the tatty MkI's for £550 and something less, until you get down to the MkIII in question for...rather less!

Thanks husk/surpmil - because I was looking on the forum on the phone I couldn't see skiprat's location and assumed it was in the US - as most bargains like that seem to come over there. The only thing I can say about that is OOF! Blimey - and it wasn't sold by someone who hadn't done any research either judging by the description - baffling! And Surpmil ... yes the similar ones sold including reproductions certainly put it into perspective. Basically skiprat you've only paid for the bracket and the rest's free! Quick on the draw indeed.
How can the seller also have a PH 5E4 on for £250 and then sell a mkIII with bracket and box for that???
