Can't import LE receivers into the US???

I posted a "WTB LE RECEIVER" message in WTB and a nice person responded that Marstar Ca was selling NEW receivers!

I called Marstar and they said I needed a ATF No6 (import) form.

I called ATF and the woman told me that (she thinks) I can't import an C&R receiver into the US!?!?!

Is there a solution to this predicament???

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. These would be 1955 Long Branch production? There was a whack of them around at one time. Lovely receivers, but for that blasted MkI* mod.

It would be interesting to know why SAL/Long Branch didn't embrace the Mk.2 body, or at least the Mk.2/1 conversion. Perhaps it was felt the rifles would not be in service long enough to justify the change over(?)

Much changes, much remains the same.
