Unhappy No.1 MkIII* Complete replacement stock

    Hi all,
I have searched high and low, but I cannot find a decent replacement stock for my smelly as above, or rather anyone who's willing to ship to Australiaicon. If there is anyone willing to reveal the mystery and also who has these stocks available, please do tell...

Thank you for the help in advance and best to all

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. In Aistralia, there is no regular supply of SMLE wood as far as I am aware. There are known parts sellers who may have one from time to time and of course there's eBay and gunshows, but you may have to be patient and pay dearly if you find one.

Been able to make up about 6 complete stock sets from local online auction sites and ebay over the last couple of years, but they seem to be getting harder to source of late. I've also bought old mismatched fully wooded rifles with rubbish metalwork and then used the wood for my smle projects. They are out there, but you have to keep looking.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ pretty much says it all fleabay UKicon usually has them loads of No.4's MK III's not so common be prepared to fork out some dosh and then you may even end up with crud like cracked or flogged out draws but milsurps offers I reckon unsurpassed knowledge on just about everything to do with weapons and associated gear etc.
Sadly to get stuff from the USAicon costs from what I have seen a fair bit and surface mail takes forever and airmail $'s I managed to source some stocks over the years P.Laidlericon here on milsurps may chime in with a source or Brian Dickicon from BDLicon in the USA may be able to help but like all persons most keep what they have and to think millions of the little suckers were made.

There are good quality reproductions available in the UKicon if you are not set on original.

I got parts from them, to mostly rebuild two SMLE's. Shipping is not cheap, but the selection is really good.

What's needed is a source of woodwork with provision for the long range sights. At least that's what I need!
