Need help with a Remington 03/A3 receiver

Greetings all, I have been looking at a Remington 1903A3 with a serial number 3352548, no doubt that it's a 03A3, but the receiver is marked U.S. Remington Model 1903. Not 03A3. I'm trying to learn why that is and would appreciate any help. Thank you.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. As I said above, there was a lot of transition between the end of Remington M1903 and the start of M1903A3 production (Indeed they ere BOTH produced for at least three months). I have seen at least one M1903 with the markings you mention.
