    Late Rock-ola Hammer

    M1 Carbine Rock Ola L T R Hammer | eBay

LT R Type 3 hammer listed on ebay. Kind of pricey but not often seen and fits into a narrow range of Rock-ola manufacture as I recall. May be worth the bid if it is the real deal. Prices seem to be going crazy. Hammer looks pretty good to me. Comments?

The disclaimer here is that I've never really studied the font and stamping of the LTR, but doing a quick look at what I've got at hand to grab, I have two LTR marked hammers that look identical to that one. One is parked and one in the white, but all traits are identical in milling and stamped font size.

So I grabbed an LT-Q out of an original trigger group close by and the milling characteristics are identical to the ebay one as well as the three in my hand. A quick study reveals one of the steps in the order of the milling process and it appears to be present on the ebay offering as well. I believe in the hammer, but can't address the font since I've never done a study alongside someone else with known originals.

I would think the Stamping would look a little better when i saw this hammer a few days ago, but i guess its real. I have a LT-Q marked Trigger and the stamping looks real nice. I have no use for it though, so it sits in a box and its been there awhile now. I've been waiting to see if anyone has use for it so it can go to a good home in a nice M1icon Carbine.

What size is your font? The LT-Q I grabbed has a totally different sized font. It's maybe 1/3 to 1/2 the size and canted. Everything else is as described above.

The Font Size is 1/8" and is LT-Q and I have 2 more 1 is marked RI the same size and the other Is JU same. It is very different to that hammer. We use to have an engraver to mark our tools with our initials a long time ago when i was working and it kinda looked like that hammer.
