    My new 1903A3

Attachment 59615Attachment 59616Attachment 59617Attachment 59618Attachment 59619Here's my first 1903A3 which I bought off GunBroker last month. It is a built up rifle and was built by a smith from Salem, Or. Never a drill rifle, nice clean receiver (Remington #3381xxx). NOS bolt, NOS barrel (RA 8-44), CMPicon stock. During its' first trip to the range it shot 13" high at 100 yards. I just put a taller front sight blade on going up .130 from what it had. I feel that will be a little high, but files work. My Garandicon is a .308 so I didn't have a 30-06 to reload for. Now I do and am pretty happy with it. Pics attached. Best wishes to all.

Each .015 will change it 2 MOA. It should hit about 4 inches low now.

Thanks Chris, maybe i'll take .015 off before I go to the range and I'll be half way there.

Yes, it's much easier to 'take off' a little than to 'put back on.'
