I'm not sure I'd use that slip on recoil pad for shooting.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. The USGI "Grenade Launching" slip on Recoil Pad was pretty sturdy, and the ones I saw fit tight. Should work out fine, as far as I can see, and can be spaced for more length of pull. CC

I have a newly made exact reproduction in modern "rubber" - soft and supple....
These were originally made to fit an M1903, for Grenadier duties.
Got it on Ebay in the last two years, came with three felt "spacers" to adjust length of pull. CC

Originals are 70 some years old and have hardened . If you have one on the loose , don't try to put it on a gun . The rubber will split down the side . Save them for looking at . The repros are like the originals were 70 years ago and mine have held up well .
