No I understand that I could possibly find one that is pretty messed up and that it could possibly fixed. But being as that is such a specialty trade I can't imagine it's too cheap.being these scopes are that rare even a complete turd will bring a pretty penny. I'd love a real one but don't want my new gun sitting waiting fir a real scope when it's nice. Ill give it till spring see what shows up

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Good things come to those who wait............
Took a bit over three years to complete this project. It started with just a scope in rough shape. The rifle and bracket were acquired a year or so later from a fellow who had grown impatient with locating an authentic scope right away and decided to part with it. Swapped him a LE No.5 and a little cash for it. Bracket/scope were repaired/serviced and collimated to the rifle so I ended up with a matching rig with no issues for considerably less than I've seen mismatched rigs go for at auction.

The majority are dated but not all. HBM Co Mk2's aren't. Most (?all?) Watson Mk2's are; REL Mk2's are.............it rather depends on who made them.

Would a hbm co scope be proper on an early 43 rifle like mine?
