    M1 Garand Gas Trap Parts

Looking to sell Receiver with sights, barrel and gas cylinder. I have seen complete rifles sell for $40,000 but obviously mine is not complete but some of it is. What would these be worth? Thanks. jack

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Original gas trap barrels can be from $8000 to $12000, the early barrels D28286 being worth more than the later D-28286 barrels and bore condition is important for that kind of money. The complete gas cylinder, yours being the later type could run from $4000 to $6000, the front sight around $1500 and same for the plug. Your early follower rod is around $700. Early rear sight group under $1000.

The parts you need to restore your rifle: SA SPG stock with solid SA butt plate $3500. Front handguard ferrule with lip $1500. keystone spring and comp spring $4000 (there are nice repros for a lot less)
