    Luger & rifle

Need a rough estimate (very rough based on the quality of my photos) on these two. These are not my guns; I'm doing an inventory for a widow friend. Neither of us know the history on these guns. I suspect the Luger is not original nickel, but don't know for sure.

Both guns seem to function normally. I did not look at the bore on the Luger, but the rifle bore looks decent, though in need of a cleaning. I suspect the radiator clamp on the back of the scope is not original issue.

    Any thoughts as to value?

the g43 is 1500 to 2000 maybe higher if the sight and the mount are original. Luger around 500 but I am by no means an expert

    Luger & rifle

Luger has a black leather holster, if that makes a difference.

Nickle finish is not original to a Luger. All visible parts numbers match so it should be a good shooter. If the holster is original and in good condition It could bring $300.00 to $400.00, especially if it has the tool inside the top of the holster. I think the $500 price is reasonable for the pistol, w/o the holster. Be sure and ask if there is an extra magazine with it. That cold be another >$100.00 item.

Post better pictures of the K.43 rifle at The K98k Forum, there are more knowledgeable guys on these rifles there. It could be very valueable if the mount is original and matching to the rifle. If you are not sure, better put it in an auction than to sell it directly to someone.

.... and go to one of the specific Luger forums. If the Luger is plated and has been scrubbed, its value in Europe would be in the lower region (about 250€) .... even WITH the holster.

The G/K43 is and easy $3000-4000+, if the mount and scope are original.

I would think that If the rifle is all matching and has an original mount and scope. but the mount is not matching to the rifle, about $5,000. If the mount number matches the rifle, about $7,000 plus. Have only seen a couple like that. Ray
