A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Roy,

I think you are referring to the SWEDISH M-96. Try the Mauser thread for more info on your M-96.

Amazing how common mixing these two nations rifles is. Definitely Swedishicon. You may find it yourself once you look it up by the correct country.

In any case, what you are supposed to do is sight the rifle in at a known distance. Once sighted in, you loosen the screw in the center of the wheel and turn it until the number lines up with the range you are sighted in at. Then re-tighten the screw. Should be sighted in at all distances so long as the correct ammunition is being used.

96 and 38? Sounds sort of Swedishicon! Both are great arms. The Swedish 6.5x55mm cartridge rocks!
