    RMC I Cut Stock ?

This stock has a RMC marked sling well, I cut H/W with a S'G' boxed stamp and crossed cannons on the right side. My research shows stocks coming from Rockola to Ip early on { but not to Grand Rapids } . In your opinion would it be an appropriate stock for a 1,778. Ip ?

    Thanks Chris

Yes 1000 Rock-Ola stocks went to IP who was in Grand Rapids in January 1943. Some of these could have been left over when S'G' took over and were used in later production but I find no information on RMC shipping stocks to S'G'.

I still have the stock , with my IP action in it and the Cartouche has gotten better with time. I have only seen 1 other one up close, it was at OGCA back in early March it had a 7,2 Winchester action in it that had been shot with a can of clear coat { OMG } !!! the stock was still in the original finish though and had me thinking. BUT he would't come off his $1795. price so I passed. What a shame
