Oh yes, it concerns me that this rifle is not in my display

Very nice piece! Is it still the original barrel/to which serial block does this 03A4 belong?

€dit: just a note, the stock is a Keystone replacement, see the K in the cutoff. Not sure if these were also marked with the FJA and the ordnance escutcheon, someone more knowledgeable will have to tell. And someone once tried to look into the scope. To find out if this rifle is still in the as-produced condition, it would need a very detailed comparison (scant stock with 44 barrel with which serial block with a late M73B1 marked scope).

Do you have pictures of the bolt cutout on the stock? Are there any rebuild markings on the stock?

That is about the low end price for them. They usually sell for about that price and up into the mid $3,000's or so. I'm talking actual sale price not higher advertised F/S prices. And that is a nice one so I would say probably it could go into that upper price range, Ray

    Exclamation I see something wrong

Clean up the brush pile & burn it. Just make sure you take the good stuff first.

Sort of what I was thinking in the beginning. He asked if there was anything of concern, and I thought yes, the firewood is well past prime.
    Regards, Jim
