    Bren Transit Chest Metal Fittings

I am looking for a PAIR of the Twist Lock Catches for a Bren chest. TBH, just the actual 'Wing' part that rotates on it mounting plate.

They are not for a Bren Chest itself, but another Military application. I have just Acquired another Armourers Field Tool Box/Chest. Which I am restoring. And the closure catches are broken off.
Not unusual on these, given the weight of thing when full. & the way they were thrown on the Back of 4 Ton trucks. It was sometimes the case, that a catch would snag the corner of another box/crate. in the Rear of the truck, & fracture it off!

Naturally, I can make these by hand. But time is my Enemy these days, & If I can avoid making Two. I really would!...........

If I recall correctly, these types of catch were used on a Number of other types of equipment. But time dulls the memory, & I cannot recall what they were!

If anyone can come up with one of two, great. Or even point out what else they were used on. I can look around for some.

It's a long shot I know. But I am asking anyway, in case anyone here can think of where I might start to look. To source some. Cheers!

The locker catches for a Series 3 Land Rover appear to be identical. (I checked them out when I owned both a Bren Case and a two Series 3s.) These old LR parts are easily obtainable in the UKicon. Not sure about elsewhere however.

I will be Skippy. Come & see Me at 'The Battalion Armourer' Display Mate. As you would expect from a R.E.M.E set-up, there will be a very effective brew kit working
    Also!.

I will have an RB44 with a Comm's box trailer. My R.E.M.E Colour's sign & a white flagpole with the corps flag. You will have a problem missing Me!.............

    Warmest Regards: Mike.

Warren, & any other interested parties.
I have just returned from W&P yesterday (Monday) It went VERY well &I really enjoyed myself!

The Display was well received, & as It was a working facility. I got e a few repairs, & serviced some blank firers. That failed to function correctly.

I had a super bunch of lads 'Dug in' (Yes, really!) in front of my pitch. They came over from SOUTHERN Ireland, depicting the 101 US Airborne. The brandy in my coffees & evening dinners. Were a real treat for Me.

I was disapointed not to meet any of the forum members. ANY of you would have been MOST welcome. & would have had a seat & a Brew!

Anyway, I look forward eagerly, to next years show.

How did the Reynolds Boughton, the RB44 cope with the traffic and event though? I am in the pessimistic school when it comes to them! We STILL had a few knocking about until a couple of years ago
