    JRA 1903A4 Barrel twist rate

    Hello, does anyone know the twist rate of the James river rebuilds ? I, putting a Leupold CDS scope on it and twist rate is one one to questions for the custom dial

    I don't see it on they web site but the standard twist for the 30-06 is 1-10''. They use Criterion barrels so I feel sure that's what it'll be.

    Prob'ly one in ten . If you have the rifle , just put in a cleaning rod with a tight fitting patch , put a mark on the rod at the muzzle or reciever rear , pull it out till the mark comes back up , measure how far the rod had to move for a turn.
