Please make yourselves aware of the laws in this case as it's unlawful to buy sell or possess a barrel like this after the fact. It becomes a prohibited item and you're in for a problem. Trying to hide the fact can be difficult when verifying a barrel that's been installed.

That actually applies only to pistol barrels under 4.1 inches. It is 100% legal to possess 18 inch barrels, it is not legal to cut down a barrel below 18.5 inches (so the barrel must be produced below 18" from the factory).
The restricted barrel is also unregulated meaning anyone (even those without licences) could possess the barrel.
Sorry for the politics, though hopefully this doesn't count as that, as it is simply clarifying the law, not arguing it.

As the above poster mentioned, we produce an 18.75" Canada compliant M1 Carbine barrel that can be purchased through Vulcan Gun Refinishing (Vulcan Gun Refinishing) or Hirsch Precision (Hirsch Precision Inc., Shooting Sports Supplies). They'll run a bit more than what you can find stateside (exporting barrels can be an expensive process), but you'll be hard pressed to find a better shooting barrel!

I have a carbine on the way with a compliant barrel, however if it is in need of replacement I will certainly consider a Criterion for that. Thanks for the information, and most importantly, for producting unique products that service the rather particular needs of Canadian firearms owners.

You'll have to show us that in the month's new purchases...when it arrives.

Of course, I have moderate expectations about the actual firearm, some non-critial parts are obviously wrong, but the potential appears good. As a shooter, it should fill the niche well.
Sight unseen (aside from photos) purchases are always exciting.

On no, but a Plainfield style metal heat shield is dead wrong on what "could/might" be a high wall Inland M1A1. A simple fix I think.
