    Swiss K31 Magazine replacement

Good Morning. I recently Purchased a very nice Swissicon K31 off of an online auction site that is in vg condition. All matching serial #'s. the only problem is that it was missing the Magazine whic I knew about but just couldn't pass up the chance to get such a nice K31 so cheply. Now my question is can I do anything about getting another magazine with the same serial # on it so that everything will match? there is a web site called
    (((Simpson Ltd)))
that has alot of the original magazines for about $100 but they all already have a serial # on them. Can i purchase a brand new one from this other company that I know of and have the serial # placed on it? If anybody out there can lead me in what I can do I sure would be grateful. I know that to alot of you not having a serial # on the magazine is no big deal but to me it is. thanks.

Although it's not your intent, what your wanting to do is kinda sorta seen as fraudulent in this community. A mis-matched or unnumbered magazine is one thing, a magazine that has been forced matched is another. One has to think about the future and the potential mistaken belief this rifle has its matched magazine which you have learned carries a premium. It's yours to do as you please though.

I agree with the above. I suppose if you could fool the next potential buyer you would be okay as far as selling but maybe not morally. If not, you kinda will be hurting your own reputation. Unless you disclose that it is not the original matching magazine and that you just wanted a matching number on it.

I wouldn't worry too much about the serial number on the magazine. Personally if I had a choice of a mismatch or one without, I'd get the one without. All it indicates is it is a replacement magazine. I'd shop around a bit more, $100 seems pretty high for a magazine. I know they aren't easy to get but that just seems way out there. It's a third of the cost of a rifle.

Let me first say that I apologize about the statement about having the serial 3 imput onto the magazine. I was told by someone else that there are people or companies out there that would do it and it really never crossed my mind about it being deceitful until I had some time to think about it and I have to agree with you 100%.I am in no way trying to self stamp the magazine with the guns serial #. I agree with you that it would be fraud and My inner self would never let me sleep knowing this. What I am now asking is there any place out there that would carry an original magazine that had no serial # stamp on it? at least if and when the time came for me to sell it I could in all honesty state that the magazine is an OEM magazine just with no serial # stamp.
