I think someone just posted an Envoy for sale on CGN?

    For information and discussion:

.308 Lee Enfield conversion used in DCRA

WTS a Nice Brit ,308 conversion with PH sights and custom butt, I was told it was used in DCRA competition ( which I don't doubt ) no DCRA markings

Barrel is great, should make a great shooter, I bought it with plans, but too much on the go and I need the space.

Wood is very nice, pics don't do it justice.

Price is 1250.00 plus shipping , NO TRADES, EMT only

    PAL required.
    Selected photobucket images supplied:

While I am not looking to purchase, what are the thoughts from the experts on this rifle? Is it an Envoy, a "custom" work up, or other? Are those buttstock panels original work or repairs?

I am interested to use this as an educational opportunity, as while I am not looking to purchase this rifle, I may encounter another in person when I am situated to do so. I would like to sharpen my spotter eye so to speak.

I believe this is a custom conversion.

An Envoy would have "ENVOY ", the conversion year and serial serial number Exxx on the receiver.

Thank you, good to know. So based on that, this personal does not have an actual (unlabeled) Envoy, simply a somewhat faithful "replica" of the basic Envoy target rifle.

It is an uncommon appearance I think in either case.
