What's the value of this GI Mag?

Is anyone familiar with this Union hardware 15 round GI magazine? It has a type III baseplate and the "U" with serifs seems typical for Union Hardware, but the "10" lying sideways after the "U" has me stumped. Has anyone seen this before? Which M1icon Carbine manufacturer was this kind of Magazine made for? What's it worth? Is it rare or a collector’s item?

I've been using it to shoot for years, actually. I have some other GI 15 rounders mostly International Silver, in various conditions, what are they selling for these days?

Looks to me to be a 'parts' magazine... late 30 round follower to hold the bolt open when empty. Perhaps the 'P 10' indicates a pined to 10 round capacity, the hole in the floor plate may have been for a pop rivet to prevent its easy removal. Blocked magazines are common here in NJ.

Yes, the 10 is and after thought stamp and has nothing to do with manufacture. The hold open mag followers were apparently an install later when they needed to be changed, to hold open for the M2. Of course I can't prove that...the mag isn't special, except it's about perfect shape. Look on the open market on Ebay or any of the gunsites around you to see what they sell for locally.

thanks Jim, eBay doesn't sell any mag over 10 rounds I think. I wouldn't mind selling them on this forum is anyone is interested.

I'm surprised no one has given you a price though. Try looking on Gunbroker for some.

$13 plus or minus. There were several thousand very well priced NOS carbine mags sold via the CMPicon forum.
