Very nice carbine you got there. I have a 91/28 TS that used to have the grenade launcher on it that I got from the grandson of the vet who brought it home from the war. It's a great looking carbine and just like yours it has the cleaning rod.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. The new Carcano book is out. Mine is supposed to arrive today from Amazon. Price was lower than initially offered.

The book is beautiful, I think it is by far the nicest military rifle book I own. Granted I only own a couple dozen but still. First impressions are WOW!!!. It's a Schiffler publication so anyone familiar with them should get the basic idea. High gloss paper, most of it in color except for period photos. They tear the rifles apart down to the screws, 33 pages of markings. Detailed photos of modifications for grenade launchers. The toy rifles, grenades, bayonets, shooting medals. Final cost was $41 delivered so a bargain for a rifle book, especially one of this quality.

Can't you order it off Amazon? Doesn't make sense they wouldn't ship to Canadaicon.

I was hoping to order it in Canadaicon (quicker shipping and cheaper cost), though I just placed the order through Amazon.com as a good reference book on the Carcano is something I have wanted for a long time.
