    03A3 accurate factory hunting ammo

    I have a little-used 1943 03A3. I understand the most-accurate ammo is somewhat rifle-specific. I would like to try a couple different loads, but not a dozen.

So, I would like to hear from folks, with similar rifles, who have good results with specific factory loads. I am most interested in 150-170 grain offerings.

Just about any 150 gr standard ammo should all shoot about the same...Winchester, Federal, Remington...just stay away from the light magnum.

    Why do you mention that?

To what pressure was military 30-06 loaded?

Pressures for standard loads are as published in the manuals. The light magnums are a bit higher.

Yes, it's readily available. Most all ammunition manufacturers offer a 165-168gr soft point loading in 30-06.
