    1903a3 Stock Question

Wondering if anyone might be able to explain why the front inside right side of the stock inletting for the action appears to be ground out. The side of my stock at one point is almost wafer thin, and when I set the action in place I just cannot see any reason for it. I would just put it down to bubba, but I have seen other stocks that are pretty thin in the area also.
