Jumping on the bandwagon for info

I bought my first smle last month and I was hoping someone could give me any info on the marking or maybe a month it was manufactured in ect. I see some of the other threads people have identified smles that spent time with the Irish or India any chance mine falls into that category? Oh and it does have a import mark that is difficult to read
    Thanks

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. i can't help much, but the bolt is obviously renumbered and the butt looks to be beech which would make it a later replacement.

the stamps like this are the military proof mark.

the " '17 " is the barrel year.

the small stamps like this \/ are inspectors stamps.

it doesn't have the horrible black finish or an ishy screw typical of indian service.
