    My 1st M1 carbine

These have been out of my price range since I got into milsurps, but it was just a matter of time.

It's a typical mix master. Not an import. '43 Underwood receiver with a 1-44 Underwood barrel that looks to have lots of life left. TN high wood I cut stock made for NPM. Flat bolt.

I've learned quite a bit about these carbines in the last week and feel I got a great deal.

By the way, Carbine Williams is a great movie!

    Thanks for the welcome.

Wanted to take it out today, but it started raining this afternoon, so maybe tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to seeing how it runs.

My buddy brought his Inland over and it's overall metal finish is much better, yet, he liked mine better..lol

Will post a range report when I can.

Its all over now. You need to get rid of it immediately! If you don't suddenly there will be two, then three, then a new mortgage on the house, then four, then etc....
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!

I've been pretty good about not amassing too many of each of any firearm, (not that I wouldn't love to, but have to be careful), with the exception of the K98kicon's, of which, I've never had more than 4 at one time. I am down to 2 really nice r/c's and an all matching.

I got into milsurps about 10 years ago and it's been a slow ride to finding good examples locally and for the right prices.

I lucked out this past month with picking up a 1914 DWM military Luger and then this carbine.

I've limited myself to buying surplus locally mainly because I can actually see it in person.

I like your carbine but must disagree about the Carbine Williams film. I have viewed it more than once but only in homage. Not a great film in my opinion. But welcome to the world of M1icon Carbines. I'm sure you will not regret it.
