A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Being as how they were under Nazi occupation they should have been marked with the Germanicon acceptance marks, i.e. bird with numbers. But to answer your question, yes they would have been made, would they have been called the Brno, I don't know. Most guns made during occupation were re-classified under German rule and called something different. HTH-SDH

Waffen Fabrik Brunn, BRNO DEFINITELY made rifles for the Germans in WW2. They were generally NOT marked BRNO though.

Most commonly encountered K98kicon's from that factory will be marked "dot" though they used some other codes durign the war as well.
