    Whats the difference between WWII and Post War front sights? Is there a way to tell them apart?

    front sights

    Winchester front sights are 13/16 " while WW2 SA sights are 5/8 "

    Post War sights by all manufacturers have more of a flare to the protective wings. Some of the wartime front sight wings had such slight curvature that they were sometimes inadvertently used to aim with, causing the shots to go way wide of the target (and low). I don't have the comparative measurements ready to hand at the moment, but once you have seen both you will not confuse one with the other.
