I don't but Reliant powders burn clean.

Sierra lists Re-7 as their accuracy load for 55gr .223 bullets.

They list 21.5 grains which is the max charge at 2900 fps.

It has been several years BUT

... I had a bad experience with RL-7 and a Hbar. I inherited five 1 lb cans of what then was called RL-7. My uncle used the powder in his bull barrel bench rest rifle with great success. His load if I recall was 21.5 grs behind 55 gr.Sra. MK's using Rem BR primers. I started at 20.5 grs in my Hbar and immediately had signs of excessive pressure. Not only that there was an obvious smoke trail as the bullet traveled down range. Imagine a comma with the dot being a .223 diameter bullet hole and that is what the target looked like. , Sounds hard to believe but it is true. By the way the powder cans were full and sealed. Just be cautious!

There are much better powders out there. I really liked H-335. 35 Grs. in a commercial case ahead of a CCI primer and behind a .55 FMJ worked very well.
