    Thanks all.

Edwards Shed was the place I had in mind to look at doing it for me, I’ll give them a shout.

OK, that's 3 people making 4T chests then

Valmont was the expensive one, as noted, but the other value one I was thinking of was the guy that makes all sorts of WW2 era ration boxes and equipment boxes. He doesn't list the 4T box on his website among all the German and US weapons chests that he does, but I was looking at his products on his stall at the big Militaria Fair at Stoneleigh back in Feb, and he had a 4T chest on display, so he will do one, so can't see why he wouldn't do a L42 one as well.
    His website is here...http://www.wwiiboxes.co.uk/index.html

Coming into this thread late again as usual. I’m looking to have an L42A1 transit chest reproduced.

Most pics in the older threads no longer show up so I can’t see any diagrams/dimensions I did find a thread that listed the dimensions as 49 1/2"L X11" W X 4 1/2 D and constructed from 1/2" plywood.

Can anyone confirm the above dimensions, and is there anyone who has dimensional drawings (similar to the No.4 Mk. 1 T schematics on the forums) that they could share with me?

    Thanks much in advance.

    Ted
