    trigger guard lugs on bm59

i took off a little metal from the trigger guard lugs and the trigger housing group fits pretty good now. i figgered it wasn't a big deal because garand and bm59 trigger guards are interswitchable.

Goo, you should be able to get a small screw driver under the retainer from the gas cylinder side and gently lift up.
There is a groove machined ariund the barrel that the clip compresses into ,also there is a notch cut in the top of the barrel to keep the reatainer and lower band from rotaing once on .
There is a small relief on the top of the lower band that will allow the retainer to clear.
Once you get a small scredriver(flat) under it as you lift straight up it should expand and pull off of the barrel ,you might find it usefull once you get it going to use some needle nose pliers Padded ofcourse to pull as you lift .
    I hope this helps !

    thanks, mike,
the thing that concerns me it that the retainer is probably very hard to replace if i screw it up.
you don't know who might sell these things, do you?
    thx
