I dont know about the metal work but the wood certainly looks 'new' and apears to be very, very dry - a good dose of BLOicon wouldnt do it any harm

The No.1 Lithgowicon up for auction appears to be a Jovino put-together but the No.4 Fazakerly looks good. Hugh, your butt looks nice.

The Lithgowicon is a Jovino bitster going by the s/n. There is a niche collector following for these, but they should be double checked by a L-E knowledgeable g'smith.

The Fazakerley is a '54, not a '55. This can affect the price as the '55s are generally more desired as '55 is the last year of Fazakerley production. More of a $400-500USD rifle that needs some linseed oilicon. The 'buy it now' price is more a still in the wrap with matching bayonet price.

I keep telling my girlfriend that no harm is done by a good healthy dose of BLOicon ME but she keeps boiling linseed oil instead......

I don’t use BLOicon because after being married for over 35 years my wife and I have finally reached mutual sexual compatibility……………….
    We both get headaches now

Does anyone have ACI 88 of what was used prior to September 1940 and what date RLO was rescinded for use?

I have one just like it and can say with great certainty that it is a J. Jovino rifle cobbled together from left over Lithgow stores/spares. The serial number, 'A' suffix is a dead giveaway for one thing.

I fitted a Central sight and a target sling swivel to mine for 'paper punching'.
