    Phone Board

    Hi all,
I found what I think is a radio or phone board for a navy ship from ww2. I need help identifying it and such. Any info on it will be greatly helpful!

Where'd you find that Philip? Local? It looks to be the internal communications box off ship. One of them.

Yep I was going through the back of my store and we found a bunch or random radio equipment from ships and army. So we are trying to figure out what they all are.

One of the guys that served Navy should be along soon... With markings from London, I doubt it's US issue.

That's what I was thinking. It's most likely going to be Canadian or British.

"Telephone MFG Co. LTD, London." Positive ground?

As a retired telephone tech here in the US I find this very interesting. The equipment used on the other side of the pond is nearly the same. Having been aboard several American WWII era ships many of which were never refitted to a more modern standard the equipment similarities are uncanny. As with most things there is a functional standard that all equipment must follow in order to be functional for its era. Cool stuff!
