The Floyd's general stores in Bakersfield had one of each, BAR, carbine and M1
Garand hanging over the gun department counter. I sure wish I knew what happened to them.

We had a Garand
and Carbine in my Reserve Unit. We drove them down to Fort Ord from San Francisco to turn them in. We arrive and the guy at Fort Ord tells they are not on any books. He puts them on a large dolly and walks both to a large Dipsty Dumpster. Throws both in and tells us to have a nice day!!! I can't tell you how many brown M1911 holsters I tossed when we got black holsters in. We cleaned out the unit.

I've got a complete Garand, M2 Carbine and A4 Browning, all in the transit chests. I have a Garand that needs a trigger guard and handguard. Also got a bunch of the plastic cartridges and garand clips.
I'm looking for a BAR and a Thompson. Wouldn't mind finding an M16
& M60 either.

For everbody's information. Many think theirs is complete, but once you go through the actual contracts, you find that most are not.
A complete items also includes the original packing list from the maker, two copies of the maker's manual, a list of spare parts, and those spare parts, which can include magazine springs and followers, etc. I have only had one complete unit in my lifetime and it was a BAR. It had the two magazines, and both disassembly mats in addition to the above. Last year I sold off an almost complete partial.
You also have to know which maker produced which type of Green Plastic Ammo because all makers varied with production methods.
Some were two piece, others were one piece.
