Can you tell when picture was taken ??
Can you guess about what year this picture was taken. Don't forget, Marines used old gear for quite a while. After a number of replys I will supply the answer. Sorry for the quality of the picture. Semper Fi, Joe

So I can't spell, so what!!!

Litt'le Lee, those are very good observations and should put you right in the ball park. I was sure the leather sling would throw some off, ignore it. But we did have the metal cheverons by 1959.

Were Marines wearing HBTs that late?

Those are the later version HBT's, with the V pocket flaps, we wore those in the early 60's until the BDU's came out.
I would guess that pic to be somewhere in the late 50's to the mid 60's.
