    Enfield Rifle Identification-What is this?

Hello, found this site and was hoping that I could get some expert advice on what sort of Enfield Rifleicon I have. The link for pics is at the end of this post.

It is a barrel length of approximately 30 inches, has a ten(?) round box magazine and left-side mounted barrage/volley sights

The various markings that identify it are as follows:

Band around stock just above trigger, on the right side of the band:
    Crown symbol
    VR
    Enfield
    1896
    L.E
    I.

Band around stock just above trigger, on the left side of the band:
    V.S.M.
    1910
    CLLE
    1*

    Band around barrel and forend:
    small arrowsymbol pointing up
    WD

There are a few more small markings on the left side of the breech:
    small crown symbol
    ER
    crossed flags symbol
    P.

The top of the breech has a large letter "E"

The serial number(?) 5622 is printed on the right side of the breech as well as the backside of the bolt handle

I included a link to photos of the rifle. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated; I'm looking to sell the rifle and would like to know if it's worth anything. I apologize in advance if I'm not using the proper protocols in my request.

You have a Magazine Lee Enfield, Mark I, made at Enfield in 1896. It was modernized for charger loading - the rear bridge was added - in 1910. VSM = Vickers, Sons and Maxim. CLLE = Charger Loading Lee Enfield.
    Looks presentable in the photos.

Value - depends whereabouts in the world you are ?

    In the UKicon I'd think you'd be looking at £1000 - £1400

Oops, I never thought to include my location; I live in the U.S.

At the current exchange rates, £1000 would put the value of this rifle at about $1500? I had no idea, now I don't know if I should sell it or hold on to it.

    Thank you for your help.

US Prices tend to be around 30% less than Europe but still worth a good $1000. maybe a US based forummer could comment having better 'local knowledge'

St. Patton, Retaining the Mk.I* configuration is a big plus, but you'll need to find the 'right' buyer. I certainly wouldn't consider anything less than a grand for it.
