No4 Mk1 Stock set
Can anyone please tell me of a place that sells these stock sets? Everywhere I've searched has been out of stock or costs as much as I paid for the rifle! Its been sporterized, but only the butt and forestock. The handguards are gone along with the hardware. I don't believe I've missed any obvious resources.
Please help me help this No4! I had to rescue this one and want it in original configuration.

ebay is always a good place to try - I got a NO.4 Mk2 stock set in turkish walnut (marked P58) whihc will , when I get round to it, adorn a de sporterized rifle I bought a few months back.

So Mk 2 wood will fit a Mk 1 just fine? That opens up a few more options. Thanks!

Enfield stocks/wood
Marstar here in Canada has a TON of Enfield wood for sale. The butt stocks are too pricey for me, but the fore-wood is reasonable and they have a couple different colours/grades of wood to choose from. I suspect they won't last long.

Take a look in Enfield Resource.com for enfield parts dealers. As you're in the USA there is no shortage of enfield wood and at good prices too, springfield sporters, numrich, and Sarco, in that order, are all good. Also ebay can be very good. That turkish wood can be stunningly good if you like dark wood on rifles.

But PLEASE, please, make sure that someone who knows what he's doing fits it for you...............

I really do need to find someone locally if possible to do it for me. I have a JJCo No.1 Mk3 with the coachwood stock that needs the recoil draws replaced with hardwood and the No.4 that needs to be rescued and properly fitted. Is there any resources that are at least CONUS? Is there a guide that a competent carpenter could follow to perform this correctly?
