That's a nice one to wake up to. We can only be grateful that a few survived in such exceptional condition. It couldn't have looked much better when it left Colt a few days past 70 years ago.

The parkerizing still has the sparkling bits seen only on very new guns. Whats amazing is that the pistol had NO oil inside or out, it was completely dry. It must have sat in a completly dry area untouched for many years.

Looks good, Mike. I'll look forward to seeing that one, too. I'm just glad it ended up with someone who appreciates it and won't turn it into a shooter.

Hate to say it , but even I prob'ly would not try her out .
Very nice does not do it justice . If it were mine I'd have to sell it to get rid of the temptation.
