Derf,
I like the T 14 also. here's a pic. of mine with the holster. still haven't fired it, hope to one day. they really are a well made gun, i think they just got a lot of bad pub.
DERF is working on learning a digital camera, learning attachments to email, resizing photos to computer screen resolution, and ultimately will be adding his own photos, so bear with him.
(I'm dragging him kicking and screaming into modern times) ;)
Here are two more photos he sent sent through email. The rifle is one of two rifles he inherited.

I'm STILL kicking, but never have been one much for screaming, grumbling, yes...ding dang internet computerish stuff- won't never amount to anything.
Harlan,
I remember a few mo's. back when you had to do that to me also.
and i thank you for it :beerchug:.
I'm an older guy and I learned things the hard way just like everyone when I was the editor for the CAF newsletter for 8 years. (Still learning)
No computer genius by any means, but had to learn and messed a lot up along the way. (A LOT)
The only way to do this crap is learn one thing at a time!
I really enjoy helping others so ease some of the frustration.
Anyone having problems posting photos, etc feel free to use the help feature and I or one of the real computer moderator gurus on staff will give you a hand.
Questions go into a pool and we each pick them up daily.
There are some really smart dudes on the staff and we're here to help. 'Badger' is older than I am and he amazes me with his skills and abilities.
I WANT TO THANK CAFDWF FOR HIS HELP . I INHERITED THIS TYPE 14 PISTOL FROM MY LATE , BEST BUDDY OF 43 yrs . I HAVE SHOT THE PISTOL NUMEROUS TIMES WITH HIM , CARTRIDGES WERE $50.00 FOR 50 CARTRIDGES FROM THE FORMER " OLD WESTERN SCROUNGER " . IT IS VERY ACCURATE AND SIMPLE TO DISMANTLE . IT WAS MADE IN AUGUST OF 1943 ACCORDING TO MARKINGS , MY BUDDIES DAD BROUGHT IT BACK FROM SAIPAN ALONG WITH THE " MYSTERY " RIFLE , WHICH " ALLEGEDLY " WAS CAPTURED BY THE JAPANESE AT SAINGAPOR AND SENT BACK TO JAPAN FOR TRAINING PURPOSES . ANY KNOW WHAT IT MIGHT BE ??? HAS A MAUSER STYLE BOLT , THE CLIP FELLOUT THE BOTTOM OF THE MAGAZINE WHEN LAST SHELL WAS FIRED , MY ARISAKA TYPE 99 BAYONET FITS PERFECTLY ( !!?? ) . ANY HELP IDENTIFYING APPRECIATED , AND AGAIN , THANKS TO CAFDFW FOR STILL TEACHING ME TO POST PICTURES ( HE'S PROBABLY A HEAVY ALCHOHOLIC FROM TRYING TO TEACH ME !!! ) . HE'S AGREAT GUY .... DERF

Looks like a Picture!
Took me ages to get pics up at first. Now I'm just really slow, and have no time! Haven't played w/ the thumbnail concept, yet, much to the consternation of folks w/ slower connections I'm sure, but unless someone really complains....
I haven't had a type 14 in a long time- I liked it, but whenever I shot it all I did was watch the flying brass! Too worried about losing the empties, I guess.
