Even pellet guns deserve a bit of love.

A local fellow contacted me recently and asked me if I was willing to refurb a pellet gun that was given to his son. I can't say no, especially if it means a young dude will be shooting with a smile on his face....
I forgot to take a "before" pic of the stock, but here's one of the metal:

The wood was a mess too, but complete. It needed glueing, and crack filling, and then staining and acrylic finishing (the young owner wanted something glossy). The metal needed lots of love, with a brass wire wheel, then I simply cold-blued it. Mechanically speaking, the piston seal was dirty but in salvageable shape, and so once it was cleaned and the cylinder cleaned too, everything worked ok. Yay!
