A question as well, is there any difference between the PF prefix rifles or UF?

Yes PF were foreign contracts and UF was for UK military. At least that is what I have read
I can not imagine any No4 is un fired, even those that went directly into “mummy wrap“ preservation where test fired first, and I would hope that any rifle you buy will have been fully proofed.
Nice... I bought a virgin Mk2 a couple years ago. In retrospect I overpaid but I don’t care, I wanted a clean pristine example.
As for the ‘no rifle in unfired’ crowd, you know what he means.
Why would someone grind the sight like that? To make the opening larger?
Its the face thats been ground not the aperture so would not increase sight picture.
It is rather strange to say the least, easily replaced. Its a very clean rifle other than that tho. 👌
