after 43 years. Thought you M1 guys would like to see the first one. They are the local Vietnamese village force. Notice what the tall guy (maybe 5'-7") is carrying.

90 pound man carrying 8 pounds of frags. They did love 'em.
So the fellow with the shovel is in charge, yes?
PF or Mike Force? They look semi squared away, PFs usually were not at all. MF definitely squared away. Our PFs in Khan Hoa province were the guys in the hammocks with a carbine and black pajamas at every bridge. Stealing from locals who had to cross said bridge. Most were VC tax collectors in '66. We never paid no stinken taxes, so we never stopped, we waived, they waived back. They couldn't stop a 13,000lb turbocharged White multi-fuel diesel anyway. We had two full automatic M-14s snapped to the dashboard.
You guys remember how funny it felt to have sandbags on the floor? Like having your feet on bad pillows while you drove those hogs. I loved the air brakes, Anything you encountered on the road, they lost.
The guy on the right looks like an M-79 round in his belt?
Sure looks like it Jim. You can see the bloopers buttstock behind his right hip.
Hey JimF,
Word has it that you picked up something VERY NICE this past weekend.
This post includes Vietnam and I'd think your new grab would accent this very well.
Could you share that eye candy with our fellow members here first?
Before you post it on one of the other specific Forums here.
Here are a Couple Hints for the curious ....... ACU1 and Amboyna Burl

Don't you hate having a gun that's too pretty to shoot?
B798127 A number I will never forget, Jim knows what these numbers are
There is no such thing as too pretty to shoot, I would shoot George Washington's pistols the beauties he passed on to Andrew Jackson if they were lent to me. Grant it with a reduced charge and responsibly.
Unfired condition to me is a useless paper weight. It's like having a virgin wife and never popping her cherry. I understand collecting. I was past down an 1860 Colt Army, It hadn't been shot since the battle of the Wilderness and had just been through Gettysburg. It shot better than my brand new reproduction. Sorry off topic,
That is one of the nicest .45's I have seen in a long time. And my standards are extremely high. The M1911A1 is my handgun of choice. There isn't a close second. Very tastefully done. A unique master piece. I LOVE the trigger. really classy. Ed sure has out done himself this time. And one more thing, thank you for your service.
From the looks of the design, not only is he going to shoot it. He's going to carry it.
