How to make pics of an looong Swiss G 1911

Hello,
today i finished the restoring of my Schmidt-Rubin Gewehr 1911. So i want took a few pics of it. No problem. Take some black cloth for the background, look for some plasticpieces (to do like John Holbrook:thup:), checked the lights. Than took the camera and let`s go. But what the heck was this? I can only see a little more than the half of my rifle and still white socks! OK, gone downstairs took a ladder and returned. Than i gone step by step upwards the ladder by looking trough the camera. BANG! The room was lower than i had it in my mind.
Now, here are some reasonably usable pics. Otherones needs Ibuprofen for getting in prone position, i need it for taking some pics.

the Swiss Army said that it must hold max. 2" of 100 metres. And i can say they`re right. With the original ammo GP11 and a good shooter ( i am not the best ) she shoots between 1.5" and 2". For a rifle from 1916 it is famous some new rifles could`nt do better.

If only my Lee Enfields could do that good :D

I think only one of my refurbs (now belongs to a friend of mine) can come close to that, not in my hands though!

I must admit, I LOVE Swiss rifles, with the 1911 and 96/11's at the top of my list. My sons and I shoot in a military silhouette match every month and usually use Swiss rifles. Amazingly accurate.

Do use the GP11, commercial or handloads in yours?

Thank you, i like it to because of the famous bolt technic and their accuracy. I use also the commercial GP11 as handloads. At time the original ammo is very cheap at here. I`ve payed 300€ ( around 400$) for 1000 of it.
