HI DERRICK,
I uploaded these same pictures you sent me.
I'll post them in hopes that the markings show up better.
Regards
Charlie

Can't tell the size from those photos, but it looks like a bag for the M1919a4 Browning MG.
Yes, M13 was for the old style 1919A4.
A dealer in Ohio modified a few hundred back in the 1970's, by sewing on a stock pouch and sling. He advertised them as carbine carrying cases. One of the authors screwed up and printed it in his book as carbine.
Bill this is bag with a carbine stock laid on top for reference. Derrick
That leather projection below the stock was for the pintle assembly, which locked the 1919A4 into the tripod.
Nice find Derrick......
What's a case like that worth ?

Correct, it is for the 1919A4. I have a later version of the same. This might be attractive to a 1919A4 collector -- you could post it at 1919a4.com: Beltfed Fun for 1919 Enthusiasts - 1919a4.com Portal if you want to sell it.
The postwar M13 bags are widely available and cheap but those with a wartime date are not. You might just post it on that site and ask what a good asking price would be. I might be interested in it but have no idea what a fair price is.
