Why is RL15 so hard to find now and the prices seen are super high when you do find it.? Second part of that question is obvious... I guess it like buying GP11 ammo; comes in spurts.

No offence, but where have you been the last 6 or 7 months?
Have you not been keeping up with what's been going on in the U.S. during that time frame?
Have you forgotten the post Sandy Hook period of mass hysteria that fast?
Well, multiply this one x100 and that will answer your question.
And from what I'm hearing from those in the know, dont expect things to get any better for at least 2 years, maybe.
I guess I have been stowed up in my home like everyone else, then when I need some reloading supplies I would attempt to find certain things....IMR is easy, projectiles are easy, brass is nothing and I have tons of LR primers.... so I guess I am like the Geico caveman living under a rock..... clueless in Paris. I guess I don't keep up.
How much are you paying?
I use a guy named Aaron (bangbang4u) on Gunbroker, even if he doesn't have it listed he can normally find what I need. Check this Gunbroker store

Don't you mean 4 years, maybe? Since that's the presidential term.
I luckily put in a big order at Grafs 2 months ago - they still had plenty of imr4064 then. Cabela's gets stuff in store once a week. got 6 lbs of win.748 last week, and a bunch of hs-6 the week before. there is never more than one type on the shelf at a time though.
I haven't started rationing my milsurp shooting yet, but fear it may come to that. right now its far to easy to belly up to the indoor 100yd line several nights a week and forget about what's going on outside. We have a very great range worth giving a shout out - Elite Shooting Sports https://www.eliteshootingsports.com
I buy powder from Aaron(Robin's Trading Co.) as well.
Last time he had RL-15 listed it was $50/lb., I dont need it bad enough to pay that.
It could be 4 years, idk.
Last time it was roughly 2 years after Sandy Hook before supply and demand began to equalize and even longer before prices got back to pre- mass hysteria levels.
This is what I've been hearing lately from ammo/component manufacturers again this go round. Expect availability to be in dribs and drabs until things get back to normal....whatever that may be.:dunno:
He has always been consistent in the prices I've got from him and normally because I buy no less than 2 pounds, it's cheaper than local prices here in California even with shipping. Depending on what it is, he will sometimes give a Veterans discount as well, but you have to ask.
