Look on my Works ye Mighty, and despair!
(For what it is worth, this is a chrome SA Garand clip.)
;)
A totally frivolous purchase, a bauble, an indulgence, with thanks to Dryheat.

I have a bunch of plated clips. They were done by an aquaintence who worked for Columbia Bicycle in West Springfield in the 60's .... they just got put in the racks with a bunch of bicycle parts. The "well equipped" service rifle competitor in the 60's usually had several. They load smoothly and it's easy to find them in tall grass.
Resp'y,

Whaddya suppose the bicyclists used them for?
they put them in the spokes to make a noise like a motorcycle..
just like i done with my micky mantle rookie baseball cards back in the '50's.

USAF guys always used them in the 60's.
