"Bavarian" Carbines
Does anyone have any idea of when the prices will be posted, what those prices might be, and condition of the rifles? I had a Bavarian Rural Police that was a 44 Underwood in minty condition and, like a fool, sold it a few years ago (Had 2 kids in expensive universities). I want one now!
Thanks

1/2 of he carbines for sale at the eastern games were "barvarian". I would say if you ordered an Inland now, odds are that is what you would get. At the eastern games they were priced the same.
I thought the barvarians had good wood. Some had been sanded and not refinished before they were stored. A good coat of BLO or Tung Oil would make them look good.
Only downside I saw was that some had replacement trigger groups. Some of those were stamped and look different than the USGI one.

I think the ones coming out now have the purple colored trigger groups with Austrian markings. But all the special receiver marked models are not up for sale yet.

Any one care to hazard a guess as to what the values are for these or what the prices will be? I know where one is that I can pick up for about $500. I described it a week ago. https://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=10983
It is your typical mixmaster of parts and is import marked.

I picked up a Bav Forestry Police with Austrian LGK Gendarm trigger housing a couple months ago at S. Store. Its an Inland and was on the Svc Grd rack. Barrel, rcvr, and some components were blued.
