A fellow offered me some .30 ball for about .75 a round. I looked at it, turned out to be FA 34 M1 ball. I had a bunch of this about 20 years earlier still in he bandoliers with the arsenal card lot # insert - shot it all off. Some were duds and several cases cracked at the shoulder when I fired them. Anyway I told this guy that the ammo was over 70 years old, corrosive, and not particularly collectible but he was convinced that he had a gold mine in his hands - and given today's frenzy he may be right! I passed based on the price. At .25/rd I would have pulled the bullets and used them for reloads.
