Picked up today a Plainfield SN 5206 with an unusual scope arrangement (I think). Have not disassembled yet; am not sure about how to remove scope rear mount. Thought I'd post some pics first and get some input. Please feel free to offer any info or points of view.
The Scope is Weaver K2.5 60-B. The rings look GI and mate really well with the mounting bar.
The mounting bar is Sniperscope bar for the M3 carbine as shown in War Baby II, pages 640 and 641.
Carbine has all late features.
Barrel is unmarked. First muzzle I've seen that is not crowned. Is flat (see pic).
Front sight is RIA on left ear.
SS flip safety.
M Mag release.
Type 5 slide.
The stock will go nicely on my NPM.
