Guns America had them from,$5,995.50 to $9,500.00,listing closed.
I follow JSAR prices carefully...at shows and on the various internet auctions. The prices are not going down but very little is currently selling. Most of the auction items either are not bid on or do not make the reserve. At the last NGD show in Louisville there were 7 JSARS ranging in price from $3000 - $6500 and none sold.
I liquidated my collection last summer/fall. Had a nice JSAR in original military configuration (no prefix serial, bolt hold-open, sight ears, bayonet lug). Listed it last August on GunBroker with a $5,500 reserve and got no takers. Sold it through consignment at a S. Florida dealer last September for $6,000.
Probably a better time to be buying right now, than selling.
Anybody want a Johnson Rifle? My wife's friend's husband is selling off a number of rifles and has what appears to be a minty "looking" Johnson among them. Handled the rifle last week. Recall a friend owned one of these many years ago and it was no where as crisp as this one. Think the asking price was in the area of $6K. Will be talking with these people this coming week. F.Y.I.
Count me in.
You really don't want to know what I just paid, trust me!:runaway::thup:
Over the years I've had three M1941 Johnson rifles. I never liked them. The most I paid, from Sarco, in the red barn, was US$99.98. Service Armament Co., Bogota, NJ sold them for US $79.95. Bayonets were US $2.50 extra. To this day that is about what I feel they are worth.:dancingbanana:
