WRA pinions

A little help here please!:sos:

The two pinions in the photos are reported to both be Winchesters. Note the gear machining into the bearing surface on the one on the left. The one on the left is stamped with a "T" as seen in photo #2. The one with the clean bearing surface is stamped with a "1" as also seen in photo #2.

Do you experts feel that both of these are Winchesters just maybe made by different contractors or maybe at different production times??? Is there anything in writing or anywhere that has ever claimed that Springfield Armory ever stamped their pinions? :help:

Billy Pyle's "GARAND STAND REPORT" mentions no springfield marked pinions like these. There's one listing tomorrow on ebay with a "T" mark and the lock bar threads are much, much better than the ones pictured.
